Ability to Turn off Structure Updates Temporarily
We often use a structure in weekly meetings with product and engineering to review status. The structure captures works from across lots of projects and also references another structure for some content.
Sometimes during the meeting, if there are lots of updates occurring for items in the structure (or dependent structure), it can cause the structure to reload, which is painful when you are using the structure to present. It would be good to have a toggle to prevent it from updating to avoid this.

Just came here to look for a solution to this exact issue, pause or disable any refresh or updates to a Structure.
ALM Works team, you could have a Presentation Mode that pauses all updates, or a Pause Mode button that pauses all updates. Just to be clear we don't want to refresh the data or the web browser or redraw any content.
Super fast for other users, I did swap out any "AND" operators for "OR" operators, that is a general tip for speeding up Jira queries.
Next, I'm going to see how crafty I can get to pause or kill the relevant services on the web browser. It's a hack at best but might kill the Structure updates.
