Be able to set icon other than green check mark for different resolutions
Currently if you resolve or close an issue and choose any option for the Resolution, the indicating icon is always a green check. I would like to be able to customize the resolution/icon combination. For example, set a red x if the resolution is incomplete, indicating that the task wasn't completed.
Also, there should be options about how this affects the progress of a parent issue.
Using Statuses instead of Resolutions seems the shortest path to solution

Hi Marc,
Thanks for posting your feedback.
Regarding Resolution field: your request seems to me rather an improvement request to JIRA itself -- add Icons to the various resolutions. Currently, JIRA recognizes two states "issue is resolved" (Resolution is not empty) and "issue not resolved" (Resolution is empty). The former are displayed at various places with a strikethough on the issue key and summary. We chose to use a green mark.
If Atlassian added icons to Resolution variants, we'll be able to show those icons as a separate column, or as a part of Icons column. Meanwhile, you can add Resolution column and check the resolution as a text.
Regarding Progress calculation: this suggests that you might be using Resolution where actually Status is appropriate. Progress can be configured to be calculated by Status, and it makes sense, while calculating progress by Resolution... I don't quite see a case for it.
Besides, Statuses have icons!
I would suggest reviewing your JIRA organization and maybe adjusting workflows.
I'll "decline" this feature request as I don't see much prospect for improving Structure itself here, but please feel free to post new ones, comment here or write us at support@almworks.com
Thanks
Igor
