Quick Filters should not show empty groups when items have been filtered
If I select the quick filter 'Assigned To Me' the results still show the group hierarchy for items that have been filtered out.
I discovered that if items are grouped by Release (i.e. Fix Version) anywhere then the empty Release group will still appear even though I don't have assigned items.
This is also means that if the Release group is sitting several levels deep then all parent groupings will still appear.
Update: I also discovered that this happens with Epics too.
Hello Alex,
Thank you for the idea! Having this option unchecked by default for new Quick Filters would be a good improvement.

Thanks for the feedback David, that solved my problem. However, is there a way to globally default that field to 'Off'?

Hello Alex,
David from the ALM Works Customer Support team here!
There is an option in the Quick Filter configuration to "Keep non-issues". If you have Control access to the structure, you will be able to update it.
When selected, the option will leave Folders, and other items considered "non-issues", in the structure. Deselecting the option will remove the empty folders.
If you already tried this and it's not working, or if you would like to review in more detail, please send an email to support@almworks.com and we can set up a time for a screen share to gather additional information!
We look forward to hearing from you!
Best Regards,
David Niro
