I love Structure, and the Gantt view, as a means to visualise the relationship between issues. I love the Gantt view for its ability to quickly edit and show dependencies (x has to happen before y) between issues.
Honestly, I'm surprised that the tool allows "start date" in the past. I tried to enter "today" or "now" as the start date, because I want to see which issues are actionable now, and understand how impactful they are (critical path analysis, etc).
I use the Gantt view to drive the immediate work of a mix of scrum and kanban teams by visualising intra-team dependencies and milestones. Ultimately all the analysis is used to prioritise which issues to work on first, and to direct grooming meetings (to break "long poles" into smaller ones, and reduce the critical path)
