Allow us to make structures "sticky" for issues
It makes no sense to switch structures for a given issue, so why is it designed this way?
eg http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-30971
Once an issue is assigned to a structure, then that structure should be chosen by default whenever you visit that issue. At least make a setting that allows us to force this.
The other related problem is that issues not in structures show an error: "This issue is not in the selected structure.". This is extremely confusing to people viewing those issues, as it's not likely that this issue should belong to this or any other structure. I would like…

Better handle special characters
As you can see from this screenshot below, an apostrophe is not rendered correctly in Structure. It displays as ' instead of '.

Creating a JQL query from a selection of issues in support of batch configuration within Jira
Currently there is a need to batch update certain items in a hierarchy e.g. assigning of tasks to different team members. It would be beneficial to allow a selection and then carry this selection over to Jira for batch configuration

Need support for JQL in the search box
I just created a structure and want to add issues under it. I just want to be able to search assignee = currentUser() for example.

Allow a structure to be added to another structure.
I'd like to create individual structures for major initiatives or projects within the company. Then, I'd like to create a global structure that includes the individual "sub-structures" within it for an overall summary view.

Have a bulk edit function
It would be nice if you go into bulk mode and then click the edit button that you get taken to the jira bulk editor.

Provide an automated backup mechanism similar to Jira and/or a command line interface to initiate a backup.
Jira allows automated backups to take place. If I install Structure, I need to manually initiate Structure backups. It would be preferable to have automated Jira and Structure backups.

Add a resource allocation report
Structure plugin is a neat way to build the projects Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
It would be a nice feature to see an aggregated view of the allocated resources per structure. The MS Project resource optimization functionality is not needed from my point of view in an agile environment. However an overview of the resource capacity utilization would be nice.13 votesIt is now possible to see resource allocation with help of Structure.Gantt extension.

New secondary panel for Quick View and Edit of the issue in the Structure
It would be great if there was another secondary panel for quick view and edit of selected / highlighted issue in the Structure. Perhaps, the panel can be activated / deactivated from the toolbar and JIRA's native screen would embedded to the panel where user can view and edit issue on the spot.

have a preview pane for viewing issue details.
When I am looking through the structure I'd like to have an optional small preview pane at the bottom of my screen that will show me additional information about the issue. I would use this preview pane for inspecting the details of issues in my search results before adding them to my structure. Without this feature I find myself opening multiple browser windows and displaying them side-by-side.

Option for issues to be sorted by column (mainly for search result)
Secondary Panel: It would be great if user could sort issues by column by clicking on it or selecting the option from column's dropdown.
Main Panel: In respect to hierarchy, would be also great if user could sort issues that are on same level of indentation, under selected parent.
Example steps for such action could be: 1. Select / highlight parent where sub-issues can be sorted; 2. Select Sort option;
For top level issues in hierarchy, sort could be available by clicking on column or selecting the option from column's dropdown, no issues should be selected in this case.

allow configurable sync interval
I mean, if I define a "link-based" synchronizer for the specific structure, I would like to be able to configure the frequency - for example "sync it daily at 23:00"

That JQL button needs to be more visible!
Folks who are new to Structure can't tell what that JQL button is set to. The faint red border is no readily visible. They get confused as to which search mode is active.

Create parent issue that does not create jira issue
Creating a parent issue (at any hierachical level) simply to act as a container for sub-issues/sub-tasks should not necessarily create a new jira issue in many circumstances.

Have default columns configurable by the administrator.
The initial column set for structure is fixed for board, issue and gadget to be the same. It would be nice to be able to change the default configuration to something other than out of the box. It would be even nicer to be able to configure a default for each place a structure is displayed (board, issue, gadget). A simple mgmt interface would be need to configure it and a storage mechanism.

Allow an issue to be located in multiple places within the structure
This would accommodate issues that do not have a simple one-to-one relationship in the hierarchy.

Issue batch update for Status and Assagnee fields
It would be great if there was an option to update at the same time more than one issue. For example, parent issue and all child issues at once.

Ability to just see your Structures in Structure drop down w/in Jira rather than all Structures
If someone wants to see somebody elses, they can go to manage structure and choose one there. The way it is now can lead to a very long list to choose from.
1 voteManage Structures page vastly improved in Structure 2.0, and Favorite Structures added.
