Require the user to confirm a deletion of an issue before it is removed from the structure. Right now there is a message that an issue has been deleted, but my users aren't noticing the message. Need to make them verify the deletion before it will occur.

Hello,
Thank you for the request! You can undo changes via a pop-up notification in upper right corner or via Undo link at the bottom of the page; changes in the structure itself also can be checked via History, https://wiki.almworks.com/display/structure/Viewing+History+of+a+Structure: you can select historical data in this mode and paste it to your structure, https://wiki.almworks.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=32222970.
Is it helpful? Could you please add more details, what kind of changes you would like to undo?
Thanks!
Julia,

If you delete a component in structure the undo pop up warning is way to quick and I cant find any way to restore what I deleted. Provide a undo feature

Hi Andrew -- thanks, noted! I'll boost the priority of the feature request to improve Undo visibility and functionality in our backlog.

Hi, Igor,
Thanks for the update.
Something else I thought of was maybe making the "undo" easier and more obvious - an undo button or menu option. Finding out which menu option was to be selected was most of the problem - it was not jumping out at us that using the history was the way to undo the delete.
Cheers,

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for sharing the feedback. I'm sorry about the stressful experience the users had.
We'll see how we can add the following improvements:
- Explicit confirmation if multiple items are removed
- Explicit confirmation (or ignoring the keyboard press) if the focus is not on the issue
- Explicit confirmation if the item being removed is not seen (scrolled out)Kind regards,
Igor -

Having just had some very panic stricken users calling me last week after one of them accidentally deleted their whole structure, I think that a prompt to confirm a delete would be very welcome.
What the user did, apparently, was to select some text in an issue, without being in edit mode, and hit the delete key.
I was able to get everything back by using the history but they had a nervous afternoon as I was not in the office when they did it.

Hi Marit,
Thanks for your feedback. Do you know how the deletion happens? Do they hit Delete key or press "x" button?
The pop-up message is rather prominent... There's also Undo button and a way to restore the deleted rows from structure's history.
We wouldn't require confirmation every time a user wants to remove something from a structure. This is going to be annoying for most of the users. We can probably make that a personal option, although we would prefer a solution where the person is made actively aware of what he/she is doing without disruptive questions from the UI.
Please let us know if you have any insight on how the users miss the confirmation message and what is their intent if not to remove an item.
Thanks!
Kind regards,
Igor
