Export Resource usage to excel, to generate shareable reports
I'd like to be able to share resource usage information with people not using jira.
Export to excel of the resource usage table could be useful.
Graphical and printable representations of table also could be useful.2 votesHi Andrea! An export of Resource allocation is planned to be done in one of upcoming versions. Thank you for feedback!

Implement a 'Progress Bar' for the structures while they're uploading
Currently, there are no indicators of how long will it take to show up a structure and the 'spinning wheel' is showing up to several minutes (while uploading/reindexing a large number of tickets.
The progress bar will help to determine that the 'work in progress' and there are no issues/hangs during this process.1 vote -
start date
As a team lead, I want the Gantt view to show all unresolved issues as starting in the future irrespective of the view's "start date", so I can quickly visualise dependencies between teams that will impact their next sprint
5 votesHi Robert, thank you for the request! This feature is called a Backlog and planned to be available in one of upcoming releases!

removing a column sort is not easy. Make it simple.
Structure is sorted by Rank (through automation). I often click on Assignee column to sort by it. The only way to remove the sort is to click Transformation, Click the sort and click the remove. This is way too many steps to just remove a sort. One idea is to have each column have 3 states when clicked. Sort Ascending, Sort descending, Remove sort.

Allow referencing a formula based Structure column within S-JQL expression
Currently, I can only refer real fields of a JIRA issue within S-JQL function structureQuery parameter.
Example: "issue in structure("Planned Stories", "issueOrAncestor in [type = Epic and status = Open]")"
But it will be absurdly powerful if I could refer to a formula based Structure column values, existing in a selected View in e.g. such way:
issue in structure("Planned Stories Structure","Planned Stories View", "issueOrAncestor in [type = Epic and 'Adjusted Storypoints' > 'Planned StoryPoints']")

Export to Google Sheets
Make it possible to directly export a structure into Google Sheets. It will save one step converting an Excel file into Google Sheets.

Add "Basic" search feature as an alternative to JQL
For users who are not well versed in JQL, it would be nice to have the ability to add Jira filters in a way that is comparable to Jira's "Basic" search feature, rather than by inputting the JQL manually.
Perhaps, on the dialog that is displayed when the user adds a JQL insert automation for the first time, we could have a "Basic" link that converts the query to the basic view, just like Jira's issue navigator. Then, all the JQL would be converted into a series of UI inputs (user pickers, drop-downs, etc).
In addition to this, it would…

Allow quick transformations from Gadget
Hello,
I am in love with structure. Thank you so much for making it!
Would it be possible to put the Quick Transformations in the Dashboard Gadget in Jira?
Thank you!

Regular Expression Text Function for substring extraction
A regular express text function would be very useful to extract content from a Text field into a column.
For example, if a Description field has:
Name: Value
Name1: Value2I can write a regex formula to extract out the value for Name: into a Column.
3 votesWill add another function to extract a matching substring. A longer workaround is already available: please see the comment.

Artifical task as from BigGant
Hi, I thing something as Artifical Tasks from BigGang should be handy. We can´t planning far for future. In many times we need plan work which we did´t have fragmented to tasks. There is only highlevel overview that Member1 will have work on Project1 on week35 - week37 than on Project2 on week38-39 and etc. We need tasks which is not under project and created as Jira task, but only as shadow task significant than Person will be on Project. Folders can only group tasks but doesn´t have start date and end date.

Indeed that would be a good addition! We’ll definitely do something like this!
Thanks for your feedback!

As a gantt user, I would like to get my fix versions as milestones
As a gantt user, I would like to get my the release date of my versions automatically projected as milestones on the timeline, so that when I bind a task to it, it automatically update the fix version/s field.

Show additional information on the ressources panel
The ressource panel only indicates the ressource name. For supporting scheduling It would be very helpful to have more information directly in the ressource panel, e.g. "Units", used calendar and a marker or counter that x availability periods are aligned to the respective resource.
1 voteHi!
Thank you for a suggestion. Showing more info is indeed a good idea and it is actually planned.

have a aggregation modifier #fromTopToMe #fromBottomToMe
To provide a backlog forecast it is essential to show what content could be done within a certain time or time budget. If we configure the budget in a top level issues custom field, structure could SUM not only by level, but also the contents of the current list of elements (eg. by priority) and a formula could show from which element the budget is overspent.

Support 3+ Multi-Cascading Selects
Automation + Grouping on Multi-Cascading Select fields is a top-notch function that allows users to efficiently organize complex datasets, but are functionally limited to deeper organizations.
If I start using the Jira-system 2-tiered multi-cascading select field in Structure for my issues, but then decide I need to switch to a 3-tiered mutli-cascading select to model my data, I sacrifice the functionality of Structure for the flexibility of another add-on.
Including support in Structure for n+ Multi-Cascading Selects, e.g iDalko's multi-select field (using MySQL), would help users like myself fully harness the capabilities of automated issue structures

Require the user to confirm a deletion of an issue before it is removed from the structure.
Require the user to confirm a deletion of an issue before it is removed from the structure. Right now there is a message that an issue has been deleted, but my users aren't noticing the message. Need to make them verify the deletion before it will occur.

Folder metadata
It would be useful to have folder metadata. There are many uses for this but at a high level you could definitely folder types (strategic vs. operational), provide folder owners etc.

Change the colors of the font or/and background of the Structure folders
It would be great to be able to customize the appearance of the Structure Folders in order to have a possibility of manual highlighting the "problematic" folders.

Add progress aggregation based on the number of sub-items
Parent issue progress % seems incorrect based on underlying children progress % values, assuming equal weighting per child.

Print Structure Cleanly
Right now, I have two choices, export to Excel or print from the structure board.
In our situation, the description and acceptance criteria have bullets, numbers and other items allowed in JIRA's rich editor.
When exporting to Excel, this renders as HTML tags which Office does not accept and render correctly.
When using the print functionality, JIRA Issues cross over page breaks (which we could fix if we could have it render in Excel)The reason this is a concern for us is that or customers want to be able to review the technical architecture. ePrinting is our only real…
