  1. Deselect Automation when Transformations Funnel Icon is selected

When Automation is Clicked and you go to click the Transformation Funnel icon, I suggest unclicking the Automation so the Transformation Quick Filters are visible. Currently, when you click the Transformation Funnel Icon, you also have to unclick or deselect the Automation button for Transformations to become fully visible.

  3. Enable use of existing, saved filters to populate a structure vs. having to manually enter filter criteria

Use case: I have an existing filter that is the basis for a board. The board dynamically updates, whenever I change the criteria of the filter upon which the board is based. However, if I want to use that same existing filter with a Structure, I must replicate the criteria in structure, and then perform dual maintenance, whenever I want to change filter criteria. If the saved filter could be used by Structure, I would only have to modify the filter itself. This might be addressed in the process of solving the following existing idea:

  4. Use a field (i.e. sequential index) to automatically create hierarchy into Structure when importing from CSV/Jira.

Hi, we usually load Jira items via CSV import, and it is very time consuming to arrange them with links or to manually indent them into the Structure.
It would be great to use a field like the Structure's sequential index.
For instance, using that field during import, to automatically arrange the hierarchy into the Structure (i.e., item 3.1.3 to be put automatically after 3.1.2 and underneath 3.1).

Many thanks, and congrats for your works, it is very well done!

  5. Log changes

Sometimes someone deletes stuff from the structure and we do not know how the structure looked before (no version management exists).

In this case, as a workaround we would like to have a log to see what has changd.

  6. Provide the option to "Extend with Linked Issues" with all Link Types

Would it be possible to provide an option to "Extend with Linked Issues" with all Link Types instead of having to create an extender for every Link Type? Hopefully that makes sense...

  7. Regular Expression Text Function for substring extraction

A regular express text function would be very useful to extract content from a Text field into a column.

For example, if a Description field has:

    Name: Value
    Name1: Value2

I can write a regex formula to extract out the value for Name: into a Column.

Will add another function to extract a matching substring. A longer workaround is already available: please see the comment.

  8. Artifical task as from BigGant

Hi, I thing something as Artifical Tasks from BigGang should be handy. We can´t planning far for future. In many times we need plan work which we did´t have fragmented to tasks. There is only highlevel overview that Member1 will have work on Project1 on week35 - week37 than on Project2 on week38-39 and etc. We need tasks which is not under project and created as Jira task, but only as shadow task significant than Person will be on Project. Folders can only group tasks but doesn´t have start date and end date.

    Hi!

Indeed that would be a good addition! We’ll definitely do something like this!

    Thanks for your feedback!

  9. Please add Expr function to return number of working days between 2 dates or in general work with Calendars defined in Gantt

    Hi Almworks,

We need very simple capacity management in Structure. For this to work we have almost everything:
    - ability to aggregate from tasks to Epics (and higher levels) for remaining estimates and spent
    - Top-level group can act as a teams, for which we can defined daily capacity and planned work ratio (using field with CASE() for example)

What we lack is we can't calculate remaining capacity considering resources availability, mostly because we can't use production calendars (similar to NETWORKDAYS() of Excel) If we had this ability we could automatically build Structure view which shows current remaining estimates vs.…

  11. offer a way to save your column widths with a view and with the perspective view.

Our users will customize their view, setting the column widths in a way that allows them to best see the data in the view. While Structure does a great job of preserving this, in their session, there is no way to save the column widths, either in a saved view or in the "perspective view", from the Share button. Our users would like to share these adjusted column widths with other members of their team.

  12. Ability to hide the time line in the gantt chart view

It is a widely adopted practice to not share specific dates in long term planning and it would therefore be helpful if I could hide the dates/timeline in the gantt view.

The only option today is to zoom out but that is not practical as the feature-bars will become to small and the timeline is still visible but in years.

I want to be able to show how feature A is scheduled before Feature B and that it is dependent upon Feature C being completed without having to show when the features will be worked upon.

    Simply hiding, or making…

  13. As a gantt user, I would like to get my fix versions as milestones

As a gantt user, I would like to get my the release date of my versions automatically projected as milestones on the timeline, so that when I bind a task to it, it automatically update the fix version/s field.

  15. Show additional information on the ressources panel

The ressource panel only indicates the ressource name. For supporting scheduling It would be very helpful to have more information directly in the ressource panel, e.g. "Units", used calendar and a marker or counter that x availability periods are aligned to the respective resource.

    Hi!

Thank you for a suggestion. Showing more info is indeed a good idea and it is actually planned.

  16. have a aggregation modifier #fromTopToMe #fromBottomToMe

To provide a backlog forecast it is essential to show what content could be done within a certain time or time budget. If we configure the budget in a top level issues custom field, structure could SUM not only by level, but also the contents of the current list of elements (eg. by priority) and a formula could show from which element the budget is overspent.

  17. Send to top/send to bottom

I miss the "Send to Top" and "Send to Bottom" functionality that is in the context menu on Agile boards. I learned how to cut/paste to move tickets but that is a lot of clicks and scrolling for a common (for me) action.
I saw a comment from Igor in another suggestion to open a new panel with the same structure, and drag the ticket to the top/bottom of the new panel. I tried to do this and I got this error "Cannot move issues inside JQL query result."
I'm still feeling my way around structure so maybe I'm doing…

  18. add custom fields to structure-folders

Budgets are often not added as issues. Structure could add value by allowing some limited amount of named custom fields on structure-folders (like notes, but some more). They would bind to a structure and could be accessed from formula columns.

  19. Support 3+ Multi-Cascading Selects

Automation + Grouping on Multi-Cascading Select fields is a top-notch function that allows users to efficiently organize complex datasets, but are functionally limited to deeper organizations.

If I start using the Jira-system 2-tiered multi-cascading select field in Structure for my issues, but then decide I need to switch to a 3-tiered mutli-cascading select to model my data, I sacrifice the functionality of Structure for the flexibility of another add-on.

Including support in Structure for n+ Multi-Cascading Selects, e.g iDalko's multi-select field (using MySQL), would help users like myself fully harness the capabilities of automated issue structures

  20. Use the standard Atlassian User Interface objects

I would suggest you to resort exclusively to the AUI objects for your interface instead of your custom ones that clearly gives the impression that you are exiting the Jira world to step into another one.
I think you user would deserve a smoother user experience, with the same kind of buttons, icons, tables to which they are already used to. I'm especially talking about the transformation/filters features that should be improved in that direction to my mind. Thanks for you great achievement!
